CCTV CEMARAS IN KASHIPUR TO WATCH KASHIPUR

“The incidents of crime and theft will come down considerably here with the start, today, of the CCTV equipped police control room,” said DGP Subhash Joshi at the inaugural ceremony of the control room, here, today. The control room has been started in the old jail premises located at Ratan Road.
Present on the occasion were DGP Subhash Joshi, IG Ashok Kumar, SSP GN Goswami, ASP Dr Yogember Singh Rawat, CO Dr Harish Verma, MLA Harbhajan Singh Cheema, Nagar Palika Chairman Shamshuddin.
The DGP said that with the help of these CCTV Cameras, crime and traffic would be controlled very easily. Those violating traffic rules would be caught as the Cameras had a long range.
“Not only can we see the vehicle number, but we can also trace who is the vehicle with the zoom facility,” he asserted.
For a trial, the DGP made a call to the 100 facility which was attended by a lady constable, but it was not recorded. The DGP suggested that all the calls be recorded.
To a question from Garhwal Post, the DGP said that high tech knowledge would be provided to the policemen, as 80% rookie policemen were young and dynamic and could learn the latest technology very quickly. The DGP also added that he was fully aware of the problems and human resources, but said they were determined to control all the problems with these limited means through good management.
MLA Harbhajan Singh Cheema also appreciated the efforts made by the police.
He said that when the entire world was going high tech, it was a necessity that Uttarakhand also do the same.
